Text Box: Our Labradoodles are beloved family members.  We are a small home-based family business. We are not a facility or a kennel, we don't operate with open or closed hours.  Our dogs live in our home as part of our family. They even have their own "doggy" play room which becomes the official "puppy" room when we have puppies.  In addition to our Labradoodles, we have 3 wonderful kids, two boys 17 and 15, and my daughter 12.  They are involved in gymnastics, trampoline, soccer, 4H dog training, college, school, and just being with their friends.  Add on doctor, orthodontic, dentist, (to name a few) appointments, my kids literally drive me busy!  :)  This is why I made the decision to be a stay home Mom and give up a career in the computer and avionics industry, so I could be there for my kids.  In addition to our kids I have a number of rescue dogs, mostly in their senior years and a cats!  A full household and I love it!
My first priority is my kids and my family.  It would be overwhelming to accommodate all the requests I get to come and visit my home and my dogs.  It is also very time consuming to call all the people who send in phone requests.  I do spend hours each day communicating via email, my discussion groups, journals, and web pages.  I am often interrupted in this with kids, daily activities and even Doodles asking to go out!  It is easy for me to come back and continue.  I fit email and journal entries  in the wee morning hours, late night hours and even in those 5 minutes before heading out the door!  I am a very fast typist :)!  With my busy schedule it is the most efficient way for me to communicate with you! :)   If you don't hear from me quickly then I am extra busy or maybe your email did not reach me! Please be patient or try again :)

OText Box: Can we come visit your Labradoodles?

Text Box: In addition to our busy lifestyle, I would also like to address the very valid concern of health issues, especially parvo.  This is a very valid concern for breeders, actually a nightmare as it can wipe out whole litters of puppies and it is highly contagious!  Here is a very good Article about Parvo.   This is very serious and many breeders take extra precautions such as no shoes in their house and booties for their dogs.  Please respect this concern because it comes from the Heart! We all love our dogs dearly!
The old school said if you couldn't meet the parents don't buy the puppy! I was even one to state this!  Old school didn't offer the technology of the internet and the ability to make information so readily available.  Do your homework, be careful as there are unscrupulous breeders out there and those puppy mills. There are public records that you can check. Do they have a kennel license? If they do then their home or facility is inspected to ensure they are taking care of their dogs.  Do they have a business license? Do they offer recommendations?  Are they registered with any of the Labradoodle organizations or listed on recommended breeding sites that require health testing?  Do they offer a health guarantee?  Look to see which breeders are being listed with other breeders in their link lists.  Do your research, ask questions! There are some excellent breeders out there!  Don't let the fact that you can't come out to their home on a whim make you feel they are not a good or caring breeder! Raising puppies the right way in a loving caring environment is very time consuming!
One last note, Andy and I manage my Fibromyalgia. I have good days and I have bad days and some days can really be a juggling act! So sometimes visits can't be worked in because of my health issues. I work very hard to minimize the impact of my disabilities on my family, friends, and even my Doodles! Andy goes a long way in assisting me with this! He is the ultimate Wonder Doodle!!
Text Box: Asking to meet me and my dogs is a very valid request!  especially if you are seriously considering one of my puppies.  If you are just wanting to meet a Labradoodle then the best place to do that and see quite a variety of Doodles is to attend a Doodle Romp!  If you are wanting to meet a Labradoodle because you have allergies then my concern in coming to my home, is I don't feel my home is allergy friendly.  I have non Doodle dogs, a F1 Labradoodle, and cats. Please don't ask to visit my home if you are buying your puppy from another breeder and just want to "meet" a Doodle.  Remember this is my home and visits are very time consuming for me and my family.  While I love meeting people my family does come first.   I am more than happy to answer emails, questions, and make recommendations.  I make referrals all the time especially as I want you to find exactly what you want!  So if I don't have it I will help in recommending other breeders.  I do go the extra mile!
To accommodate all these visitation requests I have decided to host Doodle Romps, play dates at parks, and open houses.   Since Andy is my Service Dog I can take him places with me so I try and announce places that Andy and I will be.   If I am by chance traveling to other places I will try and make time to set up some visit time if I am notified in advance.
I have also spent hours on my web page in posting information and many pictures of my dogs. While I understand a picture isn't quite the same it is still a way for you to see my dogs in a variety of ages, personalities, and motions!  I will continue to work on my web page and add any information I feel can assist you in making your decision to get a Labradoodle.  So check back for updates or send me suggestions of things you would like to see!   I will also post up-coming visitation dates here on my web page, in my notify list, and on my discussion group.
I would like to respectfully ask that phone call time be reserved for puppy families and special occasions.  If you really feel you need to talk on the phone then by all means request it and I will do my best to accommodate you.   I will do my best to be timely in my response time for emails in exchange for this understanding!  If you don't hear from me via email then please post again, it means I either didn't get your email or my response didn't make it back to you.  Remember weekends are often busy with kids especially if we are gone to a gymnastics competition!  We travel to a variety of places for these!
